So here I am these days…Check out that belly, kaboom! I definitely look like I swallowed a watermellon I love looking at other pregnant mamas and how everyone carries so differently. I definitely have some good genes on my side. Being tall with a long torso works to your advantage in these circumstances. I’m definitely feeling “ready” for the pregnancy part to be over with soon. Getting comfortable at night is super challenging and I don’t have much of an appetite. Which is due to the fact that my stomach is the size of an egg at this point
Nesting is in the critical stages right now. On Tuesday Violet, my friend Becca and I did a huge drop off at our neighborhood Goodwill and then to Costco during a crazy rainstorm! It was comical at times watching us load and unload the car with my borderline hoarder amount of food and the likes. I seriously don’t know what comes over me at that store sometimes. I become my own worst nightmare! Grabbing things left and right like it’s the end of the world. I’m going to blame my hormones this time around Anyway, we survived and now we’re fully stocked on household essentials for a while.
I had my last ultrasound yesterday and everything is looking great! He’s head down and approximately 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Which puts him at the same weight as Violet was at this point. My doctor thinks he’ll be about the same weight as Violet at birth, maybe slightly bigger(Violet was 7 pounds 14 ounces). Last Friday, all day I had Braxton Hicks contractions which was exactly what happened at 37 weeks with Violet. I’m 1 cm plus a little more dilated thanks to those contractions but as I learned last time, this means nothing. Other then i’ll have a baby sometime in the next 2-3 weeks of course. So that’s the scoop around here.
NYC kids are back in school now and the air has a crisp fall feel these days. Fall is really coming. Oh yeah, and today I turned 29 years old. Crazy. Have a great weekend everyone!
