Summer Field Trip Finale

But don’t despair, adventures will still be happening throughout the fall/winter months. Maybe not at the same magnitude but definitely the same excitement and the same friends.

Our last field trip of the summer was a few Fridays ago. It was hot and sweaty so we opted for a playground with loads of shady benches for the moms and dads to chill on while the kiddos splashed around in the water. The Adventure Playground in Central Park was the perfect spot. Here’s a few pics from the day:

If I learned anything from our city adventures this summer, it’s that where ever Violet goes, Simon must follow. He won’t leave that poor girl alone! It’s kind of precious to watch him chase her down and try to do everything that she’s doing :)

After hours of non-stop water and sand fun Collin met us at after work(it was his last summer Friday too, sniff, sniff)and we headed up to one of our favorite spots, Shake Shack.  See, even Simon was excited at the prospect of a burger and fries.

We grabbed our food and headed over to the park near the Museum of Natural History where there are lots of benches and places for kids to run around. Violet and Simon love to climb on the Time Capsule :)

Simon also enjoys hanging upside down. And Collin is always happy to accomidate. I’m serious when I say I think he might be half monkey. His favorite food, coinsidentailly is a banana.

By the end of the day we were all exhausted and it was time to head home.

Field trip Fridays are the best! I look forward to our adventures all week long. Happy weekend everyone!
