30 weeks

And only 10 more (maybe 11 for good measure) to go. I can’t believe it. How am I 75% finished with this pregnancy? It has flown by. Seriously. Violet’s incubation seemed to slow to a crawl and I found myself counting down the days. But i’m so busy keeping up with her these days that i’m finding myself a little concerned that there’s so much left to do and so little time to do it. But i’m sure the good ole nesting instincts will take over soon and i’ll get it all done somehow. But i’m feeling so great, tired by the end of the day, but really good overall. I’ve gained 20 pounds so far and i’m definitely starting feel the extra weight as I haul myself up and down stairs and in and out of buses and subways, ugh!

Next week we’re having a temporary wall installed in Violet’s room (aka. our old bedroom) so that we can move our bed out of the living room. I’m so excited. It will be nice to have a “bedroom” again even if it’s tiny. This way Violet can have her own room still. The baby will be with us for the first 6 months or so until we sleep train him and then he’ll share the smaller room with her. I’m sure to those who don’t live in the city we must seem completely crazy for not moving into a real 2-bedroom apartment. But it’s just not in the cards right now. If/when one opens up in our current building that is in our price range we will snag it for sure. But we’re not leaving our building. That WOULD be crazy. We have an awesome set-up. There are currently 6 LDS families that live in our building not including us. 3 of them on our floor! You can’t beat that kind of support system. We all take care of each other and our kids. It’s a dream come true. ┬áPlus we’re not the only ones still keepin’ it real in a 1-bedroom. It’s extremely common. It’s part of life here. So we’re making the best of it and so far so good!

I’m working on a quilt for Violet which is almost done, thankfully. It’s the first one i’ve ever made and it’s been a slow going process. But it’s really starting to come together now. I hoping to finish it up next week so I can move onto another little project. I’ll post more on these later.

And finally, to wrap up a long post, my mom, aunt and sister are coming to visit the first couple weeks in August. It will be great to have some people to enjoy the heat and humidity with. Let the good times role!

Woot woot, for cramming in a 1BR. We do it too! Thanks for sharing the info on your 1BR changes. I feel sort of proud of us 1BRer’s. And for the record you look much smaller in person. How do you stay so tiny!?!

I wish I could say that i’ve been exercising regularly and watching what i’m eating. But sadly, I haven’t. I guess i’m just blessed with good genes because there’s really no reason why I shouldn’t be enormous right now. Thanks for thinking that I look tiny. I’m probably going to go eat some ice cream now :)

The time is flying by! You’re good sports to just keep making that little place work – hope your company won’t be staying there, also come August :)
