Doll Carrier

I made a doll carrier for Violet and it was easy peasy. I finished the whole thing in 2 naps! Which is good since we’re getting down to the wire around here. I’m 37 weeks and in shock that it’s September! I mean, where did the summer go? Did it fly by for everyone else or just us? In case you’re interested, the pattern and instructions can be found inĀ this book. I can’t say enough good things about it! I want to make everything. But i’m sure you could find a similar pattern online for free. The fabrics are from Ikea. You can find themĀ here.

Violet loves it! She’s really into carrying her stuffed animals and dolls around and of course bringing them everywhere we go. So this seemed like a perfect hands free solution. She pointed out a little boy with a monkey backpack the other day and asked what is was. So I told her and she said: “Oh ee’s a pack-pack!” I didn’t have the heart to correct her because hearing her say “pack-pack” is so precious. So when I gave her the carrier she grinned from ear to ear and said: “Hey yook, ee’s a pack-pack for Biolet!” Poor George has been strapped in for 2 whole days. But at least now I don’t have to worry he’ll get lost!
